GLYNN, ELLEN E. (FISHER), the widow of David Glynn, died
in 1930. Her husband had died in
1918. He was a wounded veteran of
the Civil War.

HARRIS, SARAH ELIZABETH, died 1/6/1931.
She was born in Boston on 1/26/1852, the daughter of George Henry Harris,
Sr., and Elizabeth M. Rideout, daughter of Walter Rideout.
Sarah was called “Lizzie,” the same as her mother.
The Harris family lived on Langdon Street in the Ward-Emerson house.

GLYNN, FLORENCE MABEL (RUSSELL), the second wife of
Thomas Francis Glynn, died 1/26/1932. She
was the daughter of Pelatiah Russell. She and Thomas had no children.
WHEET, KATHERINE, age 19, died 12/1/1932 when her horse
was struck by an automobile.

BLANCHARD, FRANK S., age 58 of Ashland, drowned
2/23/1933 when his car went under the ice on Lake Winnipesaukee.
BLODGETT, FREDERICK RICHMOND, born to Elizabeth Farrar
and William Davis Blodgett in 1858, died 1/18/1933 at the age of 74. His mother
was the second of three wives of William Davis. Fred was in the glove business and also made a living
farming.
COLBURN, Katherine L., widow of Fred A. Colburn, died
11/20/1933. She was born in
Littleton 8/19/1868. She had two
sons, one of them by a previous marriage, Charles W. Shortle and her son with
Mr. Colburn, Carl A. Colburn.
COOK, MARY AUGUSTA (GLYNN), the adopted daughter of
Thomas Glynn, who natural father was a man from New Hampton who surname was
Hammond, died 1/13/1933. “Gustie”
married late in life to Charles Cook and they lived in the Glynn homestead in
Lower Intervale. They did not have
any children.
DUSTIN, JAMES MORRISON, son of James Prescott Dustin and
Alice French, died 2/26/1933. He
was born in Bristol 3/16/1873 and came to Plymouth with his parents in 1878.
He married Vinnie S. Chase, daughter of Otis Chase on 6/15/1898.
He worked on the B & M railroad and was later employed by the
Plymouth Electric Light Company for over 33 years.
Four children; Maurice Prescott, Alice Floretta, Mrs. Beatrice Parker,
and Wesley Samuel.
EASTMAN, MARTHA GRACE (MC INTOSH), the widow of Horace
Weston Eastman, died in 1933. She
and Horace were the parents of three children.
FIFIELD, MAURICE, age 33 of Ashland, drowned 2/23/1933
when his car went under the ice on Lake Winnipesaukee.
LOUGEE, FRANK F., died 9/16/1933.
He was born in Ashland.

O’DONNELL, MARGARET, age 17, died of pneumonia
1/3/1934. She was born in Boston to
Mr. and Mrs. James D. O’Donnell on 5/13/1917.
She is buried in Riverside Cemetery.

ADAMS, ROMENIA COOLIDGE (WELLS), the widow of William
Henry Adams, died 12/14/1935.
DAWSON, JOHN, born 4/26/1872, son of John and Mary
(Casey) Dawson, came to New Hampshire in 1893.
In 1898 he worked for the B & M railroad and continued his employment
there until his death in 1935. In
1900 he married Winnie E. Homans, daughter of Frank and Ella (Swett) Homans.
MC INTIRE, LOIS (HOMER), wife of Roger McIntire, died in
April 1935. She was born in
Plymouth 4/29/1909 to Arthur S. and Stella Homer.
She married Roger on 10/19/1934. She leaves, beside her husband, a
sister, Marion Homer, and brothers Hilton, Russell, and Raymond.
SMITH, MANDANA B. (DEARBORN), died 2/4/1935 from
injuries sustained in an automobile accident the previous December.
She was born in Woodstock 5/28/1860 to Daniel and Mary Ann Dearborn.
She married Henry Smith of Woodstock.
A son, Joseph, was killed during World War I on 7/20/1918 in the battle
of Belleaux Woods, France. Two
daughters, Abbie and Ethel, married the Fox brothers, James and Myland of
Thornton. Abbie preceded her mother
in death by 12 years. Another
daughter, Margaret, married Herman Howland of North Woodstock, and another
married Lee Avery. Bert Avery was
married to yet another of Mandana’s daughters.
Burial was in Woodstock.

CHASE, DR. EZRA, died at his home on Highland Street
5/25/1936. He was born in Piermont
10/101857 to Daniel and Lavinia (Clement) Chase. He graduated from Eclectic Medical College in Maine in 1884
and came to Plymouth from Orford in 1907. His
home and his office were at 20 Highland Street.
He married Margaret Brooks of Piermont in 1876.
She died in 1922. He married
second, Minnie Ramsey in 1924. He
is buried in Riverside Cemetery.
WILLOUGHBY, HELEN MAE (JEWELL), died 2/2/1936 at her
home on Langdon Street, the result of a lingering illness from an automobile
accident the previous July 30th.
She was born 12/15/1868 in Ashland to Daniel Holmes and Mary Elizabeth (Sargent)
Jewell. She married Elmer Edson
Willoughby on Christmas Day, 1888. He
died 1/4/1932.

CLIFFORD, JAMES BUCHANAN, died 8/29/1937 at his home on
Cutter Street. He was born in
Plymouth 7/17/1856 to Chase Fuller and Hannah (Spiller) Clifford.
He lived in the Livermore Sections and was a stone mason.
He was married to Martha Moulton of Plymouth.
EMERY, RUFUS LEE, age 48, died 10/23/1937.
He was born in Vermont 7/25/1889 to Martin Luther and Nina (Colbeth)
Emery. The family came to Plymouth
in 1900.
FOSIE, JOHN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fosie of Langdon
Street, died of a gunshot wound to the head in September 1937.
He was born 12/24/1916 in Plymouth.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
JOYCE, MADELINE (NUTTING), died 4/14/1937 of a cerebral
hemorrhage. She was born in
Plymouth 4/21/1889 to Ansel and Emma (Hall) Nutting.
In 1907 she married Arthur G. Joyce.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
MAYNARD, JOHN F., age 91, died in 1937.
He was born in 1846 to Asa and Lucy Maynard.
His father died when he was two years old.
He was the president of the Draper & Maynard Sporting Good factory in
Plymouth. He retired in 1930.
MICLON, BERT W., died 9/6/1937, the result of a shooting
accident six weeks previous. He was
born 12/18/1885 in Campton to William and Rosa (Plant) Miclon.
He married Eva Ferrin of Campton 6/16/1906.
He operated a filling station near Livermore Falls.
PIERCE, MARY (CRAIG), died at her home on Langdon Street
10/27/1937. She was born in Rumney
2/26/1863 and married Luther Pierce 11/18/1895. He died about 16 years prior to her death.
WALKER, WILLIAM FRANKLIN, died 4/4/1937.
He was born 3/28/1860 to Simeon and Emmeline (Clifford) Walker in
Plymouth. He was a stone mason by
trade. His first wife was Mary
Carney of Plymouth and they had a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Brown.
His wife died in 1890. He
next married Mrs. Margie Dearborn of Woodstock.
They had three children; Albert, Mary, and Charles.
Mrs. Walker died and he lived with his daughter, Mary, on Ward Hill.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
WHEELER, WILLIAM O., died 3/31/1937.
He was born 3/14/1864 to Daniel C. and Harriet S. (Randall) Wheeler in
Lower Intervale. He was employed at the D & M factory for 55 years.
On 9/24/1892 he married Miss Emma L. Greenwood of Monroe.
They had two daughters, Mrs. Lola M. Dion and Mrs. Harriet Harvey. They also had four sons; Earl O., Harry R., H. William, and
Roy B. Wheeler. Burial was in
Trinity Churchyard.

DRAPER, HARRIET CORA (RUSSELL), died 2/13/1938.
She was born 6/3/1885 to Pelatiah and Mary (Woodman) Russell.
In 1881 she married Jason Fletcher Draper, who died in 1913.
Their only son, Jason Russell Draper, died in 1931.
They also had two daughters; Mrs. C. Burton Lyman and Mrs. Walter B.
Adams. Burial was in Trinity
Churchyard.
FLANDERS, WILLIAM G., died 5/15/1938.
He was born in West Plymouth 5/17/1850 to Daniel and Mary (Haines)
Flanders. He married Clara A. Hardy
11/28/1872 and he was a partner in the firm of Flanders and Gould, Tinsmiths.
He was later the proprietor of the Plymouth House and later, the boarding
hall of the Normal School. Eventually,
he was the owner of the Pemigewasset Stables until he retired in 1920. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
GORE, HARRIET HOBART (PAGE), died 4/4/1938.
She was born in Campton 10/12/1850 to Moody and Emily W. (Hobart) Page.
On 7/1/1873 she married George W. Gore, who preceded her in death.
Burial was at Riverside Cemetery.
GREENLEAF, TINA (NUTTING), age 44, died 3/24/1938.
She was born in Plymouth 5/22/1893 to Ansel and Emma (Hall) Nutting.
She married first Joseph Deselle, who died in 1918.
They had five children. She
next married Walter Greenleaf and they had three children. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
HARDY, ALICE (HARVEY), died 4/25/1938.
She was born in Campton 12/10/1877 and married Forest Hardy in 1895.
They lived in West Plymouth until 1917 and then moved into town.
Burial in Blair Cemetery.
MC CUTCHEON, DAVID J., died 5/4/1938.
He was born 12.18/1855 in St. John, New Brunswick to William McCutcheon.
He came to the U.S. in the 1880s and in 1884 he married Lilla E. King of
Quebec, daughter of Henry King. They
had three children; Anna May, who was killed in an accident in 1925 in Detroit,
Michigan, Arthur W., and Clinton Claudius.
David was a farmer and a patrolman for the State Highway Department.
Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
MERRILL, LUCY (BRACKETT), died 4/20/1938.
She was born 6/23/1879 in Plymouth to Ella E. (Stearns) and William Ross
Brackett. She graduated with the
class of 1894 from Plymouth High School. She
married Henry A. Merrill in June of 1912. Burial
in Trinity Churchyard.
MORRISON, JOHN E., age 68, died after an operation.
Born in Bridgewater 10/12/1869, he was the son of Josiah G. and Emily
Morrison. He was the Manager of
Carey Furniture Company. He was
first married to Winnie v. Cole of Vermont in 1898.
She died in 1912. He married again in 1918 to Lula Bryant Shepard.
SHERBURN, ORRIN WEBSTER, died 2/6/1938.
He was the son of Luther P. and Angeline (Clifford) Sherburn and was born
in Piermont 6/6/1858. He moved to
Plymouth 4/7/1892 and lived on Pleasant Street.
He married Myrtie M. Avery 10/7//1890.
As a young man he attended the dedication services of the “New”
Brooklyn Bridge. Burial was in
Riverside Cemetery.
SWETT, ANDREW FRANCIS, died of a heart attack 4/25/1938.
He was born in Plymouth to Sylvester and Marcia (Smith) Swett on
12/22/1871. He worked on the B & M railroad from 1891 until his
retirement in 1937. He married
Elizabeth (Champoux) Ranno.
WESCOTT, FRED E., died 9/1/1938.
He was born in Danbury 10/19/1874 to Byron E. and Rebecca (Cilley)
Wescott. He married Edna E. Twombly
of Alexandria on 8/18/1896. They came to Plymouth and lived her 42 years before moving to
Holderness.
WILLOUGHBY, GEORGE DANIEL, died 9/4/1938.
He lived on Avery Street and was born in Rumney 9/4/1866 to Samuel and
Sobrina (Page) Willoughby. For 25
years he worked for the D & M factory.
On 9/26/1905 he married Ellen O’Donnell.
Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
WOOD, ELMER JOHN, died 1/29/1938 at his home on Emerson
Street. He was born in Thornton
3/16/1865 to John T. and Mary (Steele) Wood.
He married Emma E. Tourtillotte on 11/16/1886 and they moved to Plymouth
in 1895. In his early life he drove
a stagecoach from North Woodstock to the Profile House. Later on he worked for the B & M railroad.

COOK, CHARLES A., the widower of Mary Augusta Hammond
Glynn, died in 1939. He and his
late wife lived on the Glynn homestead in Lower Intervale during the marriage.
They did not have any children.
DEARBORN, WILLIAM GILL, died 10/4/1939.
He was born 3/13/1915 to William A. and Janet (Barr) Dearborn.
He graduated with the class of 1933 from Plymouth High School. In 1933 he had a kidney removal operation.
DUNKLEE, ELSIE (MERRILL), died 10/26/1939.
She was born in Plymouth to John Merrill and Susan Ellison.
She married Perley Dunklee in 1918.
She was buried in Riverside Cemetery,
EDMONDS, BENJAMIN GRAHAM, died in Lower Intervale
5/29/1939. He was born in Auburn
2/18/1874 to George Edmonds and Caroline Graham, The family moved to Plymouth when Ben was six months old and
he lived here for 65 years. He was
an express messenger on the B & M railroad and later worked at the Plymouth
Box Shop. For 30 years he was
employed in the mattress and upholstery business.
He married Mattie Coburn on 6/22/1899.
He is buried in Trinity Churchyard.
EMERSON, THOMAS IRVING, known as T.I. Emerson, he died
at his home on Highland Street 6/30/1939. He
was born in Plymouth 10/14/1860 to Ira Smith Emerson and Eunice Nutting.
He was a direct descendant of Judge Samuel Emerson, one of Plymouth’s
early settlers and the Chief Justice of the Court of Common Pleas for Grafton
County from 1782 to 1806. He was a
well-known carpenter and built the peg mill and the five houses on Foster Street
and part of the original D & M factory, which burned.
He had a rough exterior but was a kind-hearted man.
He purchased his home on 50 Highland Street from Charles H. Bowles.
He built three homes on Rogers Street and another one between Rogers and
Highland Streets. His sister, Mary L. Emerson, died in 1932 without issue.
His passing means the passing of the last line of Emersons, a prominent
family in the history of Plymouth. Burial
in Riverside Cemetery.
KENISTON, CARL W., died 5/14/1939 from angina pectoris.
He was born in Plymouth 5/14/1885 to John Keniston and Elizabeth Freeman. He graduated from the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy
at Rolla in 1909. His first wife
was Annetta Johnson of Neosha, Missouri in 1910.
He married again in 1928 to Gladys Plant of Holderness.
He fathered four children, two from each marriage.
He was a surveyor with his father and his brother.
Burial in Blair Cemetery.
WOODMAN, DR. AUSTIN W., died 11/13/1939.
He was born in West Thornton 4/5/1865 to Charles and Memima (Avery)
Woodman. He was a dentist and
practiced in Ashland with his brother, Charles, for two years.
In 1893 he opened his own office in Plymouth.
In 1894 he married Martha S. French, the daughter of Lorenzo and
Elizabeth French of Rumney. They
lived on Wentworth Street. Burial
in Riverside Cemetery.
